This morning was supposed to be a busy, joy-filled one at the farmers market—but sometimes life throws a curveball. The market was unexpectedly canceled today, and while it was disappointing to miss out on seeing so many new faces, I’m reminding myself that it’s all in God’s perfect timing.
Running a small business, especially one built on love, hard work, and homemade sourdough, has taught me to hold plans loosely. Days like today are a gentle reminder that rest is also part of the process, and that sometimes unexpected space gives us time to focus on the things we’re usually too busy to slow down for.
So, instead of setting up my stand this morning, I will spend the day in the kitchen recipe testing. One thing I’ve been working on lately is smaller loaves of our gluten-free sourdough. Why? Because I want them to be more affordable for you and easier to enjoy without waste. A full-size loaf is beautiful, but let’s be honest—especially in the summer heat, we don’t always get through the whole thing before it starts to dry out. These new mini loaves are just the right size to enjoy fresh, with less pressure and less waste. Still the same love, same crusty outside and soft inside, just more practical for everyday life.
I can’t wait to share them with you next Saturday at the Osage Beach Farmers Market! I’m so grateful for your support and truly believe the best is yet to rise. 💛
With love and gratitude,
Amber
