A Restored Dining Experience Inspired by the Legendary Kansas City to New Orleans Rail Route

Welcome aboard the Southern Belle Dining Car — a historic railcar reimagined into an immersive dining and event experience inspired by the golden age of Southern railway travel.

Formerly known as the Frisco Train Car Diner, the railcar is entering a new chapter after uncovering more of its true historic inspiration and connection to the legendary Southern rail routes that once traveled from Kansas City to New Orleans.

Rather than simply operating as a diner, our vision is to restore the atmosphere, elegance, hospitality, and charm that made vintage dining cars unforgettable destinations.

At the Southern Belle Dining Car, guests are invited to step into a slower, more nostalgic era — where candlelit dinners, comfort food, conversation, and memorable experiences took center stage.

Inspired by classic Southern hospitality and the romance of historic train travel, the Southern Belle Dining Car will feature rotating themed events, afternoon teas, elevated comfort cuisine, private gatherings, seasonal experiences, and immersive dining unlike anything else around.

Our goal is to preserve the beauty and spirit of the historic railcar while creating a destination where guests can celebrate, gather, and make memories.
